Language Arts- Students will be instructed using the first grade Fundations and Geodes programs throughout the year. Language Arts skills will be introduced during whole group, then divided into small group instruction and will focus on grammar, skills, phonics, writing, and stories at their independent reading level.
Math- Students will focus on first grade math standards. We will use Go Math curriculum to guide our whole group instruction. Students will work in small groups to focus on skills and to enrich their math learning.
Science/Social Studies- Mr. Saxion will teach the students social studies and science each day. Some of the topics will be weather, magnets, living/nonliving things, plants & animals. |
