LifeTouch will take student and staff pictures on Friday, November 20, 2020. Full time ARVA virtual students are invited to attend this picture day. Times will be communicated closer to the day.
Now that we have had about a week of face-to-face learning under out belts, I wanted to clarify how we will be using the virtual school option!
We are updating our list of locations around the community for families to connect to hot spots for remote learning. Please check back often to see updates!
I want to thank all of our families for their patience during this very unusual time! I apologize for having to provide such long communications and detailed plans. I know how overwhelming it can be to see documents that are 14+ pages long! The amount of detail is only meant to try to keep our families as informed as possible. Communicating electronically and checking websites isn't how we normally do business, but it is our best way to communicate with our families during these changing times. We are doing things virtually to stay connected with all of you. Please stay connected to our website as well as alert for informative calls from school. These days leading up to the first day of school will be busy and I will share information with families to keep you updated. Attached are the letters that will be mailed home on Monday, August 10, 2020.
Families have questions and I am trying my best to provide answers! While I can't make your every wish come true, I have done my best to reimagine how learning opportunities look in our elementary school. These new learning pathways take into consideration student and staff needs as well as guidelines. I apologize for the length of this document, but I tried to be as clear as possible. I wanted to give you a document that you could read over and discuss with your family. If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I feel for all of the ARES families and wish we found ourselves in less stressful times. I am proud of what we have been able to offer our families. I am proud of the learning the staff has done to become teachers in an online world. Trust me when I say, we all want to be back to normal in the classroom with all our students. Until then, we have to make the best of this situation. Our students, your children need us to pull together to work as team to get through this. Please understand that this information provided in this document could change at any point in this school year. The foundation of what is presented will not change so it does provide a big picture idea for students, staff, and families.
