Hello! My name is Afton Deceder and I am a fourth and fifth grade ELA teacher at Apollo-Ridge Elementary School. I also serve as the gifted support teacher for the elementary school. The 2024-2025 school year, marks year 17 with the school district. I look forward to growing and learning with your child this school year! Homework Information:
- Spelling lists are passed out on Fridays
- We typically have homework Monday-Thursday on regular 5-day weeks
- Homework packets are passed out on the first day of the week
-The cover sheet of the homework packet is a calendar that includes homework assignments, due dates, tests, and special events. Please refer to this to stay current with our classroom happenings.
-Spelling tests typically occur Fridays or the last day of the week in case of a break or vacation day.
-Each night, students have one page of spelling homework.
- Extra homework packets are available if needed
- Homework should only take about 20 minutes to complete, if your child is struggling to complete it within this time frame, please contact me.
