Hi I'm the Elementary Art Teacher for grades K-5. This is my 18th year teaching at Apollo-Ridge Elementary School. My Masters Degree is in Fine Arts majoring in Painting Drawing and Printmaking. My Bachelors degree is in Counseling/Elementary Education. I'm certified in Art Education K-12.
Welcome back Vikings! I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready for a great school year. I am looking forward to seeing you in my classes. Let's have another fun and creative year together!!
Welcome back AR Vikings!!
Congratulations to my fifth graders!!🎈🎉Good luck and best wishes! I’ll miss you all!!❤️
Hunter made the mosaics out of a mystery mosaics use color to reveal secret images (book 6). And he drew all the 151 original Pokémon in a notebook and then picked some of his favorites (and his little sisters favorites) to make his poster on his wall. He draws them all free.
Those mosaics remind me of cross stitch patterns. It must’ve taken him a lot of time and patience to complete! And yes I should’ve guessed those characters are from Pokémon... Hunter has even bettered himself in drawing figures this year, but to see his extensive drawings in display It is just so impressive!! I would like to share his home projects on my webpage. Please tell Hunter I love these drawings and I’m so proud of him!! Thank you!!

It was a ceramic kit that she soaked/coated with an aluminum powder solution to create crystals then once dried, she painted with various dyes and paints and then topped it off with some glitter. She had a blast with it. And she would love for you to share it! She truly loves creating and all things art❤️.
Have a great day!

Mikaila (4th grade Ms. Murphy) created this rainbow unicorn at home. How beautiful! I'm so glad that she can share it with us. Maybe you can too!
This activity sheet didn't turn out as I have planed. You could use your creativity to change it and make it better or you can print out a new one here. Thank you!
Here are the second two art assignments for both Max Smith (3rd grade Alwine) and Mary Smith (1st grade Cronin). They both really enjoyed these assignments and are having fun putting on a play.
Thank you all our little Vikings and your families for sharing your creativity and fun spirit!
I received this picture from Addalie's (2nd grade Ms. Romano) parent. Addalie just finished her animal finger puppets with family. It's so wonderful to see everybody working together and having fun! Thank you parents for helping with projects and sending emails. The response has been amazing!! Thank you!!
