Welcome to my page!  

I am a 4th and 5th grade Math teacher at Apollo-Ridge Elementary.  This is my 21st year of teaching!

Thank you all for all of your hard work!  Parents, I know it hasn't been easy and I commend you for the time and effort that you've had to put in making sure your child's work was completed while juggling everything all at once.  It certainly has been a learning experience for us all.   Students, great job in sticking with it and doing your best!  I am so proud of everyone!  I miss seeing your smiling faces each day!  I hope you take time this summer to relax and enjoy!   You ALL deserve it!

LAST DAY TO TURN IN TOPIC 5 ASSESSMENT IS JUNE 2

Please be sure to turn in the Topic 5 and any other assessments that have not been turned in by Tuesday, June 2.  Thank you for all of your hard work!    Have a great summer!   

Wil and his siblings put to use their measurement skills in making the play dough from the Topic 5 packet.  Looks like fun!  Send me a picture of you doing one of the Math activities and I will post it in our Photo Album section.
Congratulations to Deanna, Addison and Dillon who have passed their Rocket Math Multiplication and Division and earned their T shirt during distance learning!  T shirts were mailed last week to them and others in other classes.  Way to go!  Keep up the hard work!   

Last Round of Packets!!!

You should be receiving the last round of packets soon!  For Math, they will include Topic 5:  Measurement (for both 4th and 5th grade).  Check my webpage tomorrow for updated Topic 5 materials.  If you need any help with your work, please let me know!  Take care and I miss you!

Packets

Parents:  The first two packets that students already received were review packets and WILL NOT be collected or turned in.  These packets were optional.  Starting with the next packet you receive, you will need to turn in the assessments.  See my distance learning tabs for info. on how to do that.  New packets are being mailed out tomorrow. These packets are required and are new learning. Stay safe!  

Passing Rocket Math Learning Tracks

If your child is working on their Rocket Math online at home and they have completed an entire learning track.... WAY TO GO!  You can send me an email or respond to me on Remind and let me know to change them to the next learning track if I haven't done so. I am so proud of the extra effort students are putting in to keeping up with their facts!

Don’t forget....if you have internet access your child can log in to their Freckle and Rocket Math accounts and work on their levels while we’re off!

Updated Useful Links Tab!

I recently updated the Useful Links Tab!  I included a link to each of my Quizlet vocabulary class pages where you can study your vocabulary for each unit.  I will also be adding links to videos for each unit for you to view at home to help with homework and to study for tests.  Check it out!
